About Jamal

That's me!

I am Jamal-Deen S. Hamidu. My first name, a hyphenated name: Jamal-Deen, means “Beauty of Faith” (Jamal -”Beauty” and Deen – “Faith”). My whole life revolves around my faith. First my faith in God. And second, my faith in Myself. I believe in myself. And I’m self-assured, that my abilities and skills are limitless.

My Vision

To become a visionary, entrepreneur, speaker, social activist and above all, to become an internationally recognized technology expert/ analyst or consultant.

Education

I hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from the RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia. I also hold a diploma in Computer Science from the same University.

Employment History

I am currently employed at Newmont Ghana Gold as a Senior Human Resources Representative responsible for IT Analysis.  I maintain reporting relationships by aligning and re-aligning reporting relationships in consultation with the various departmental heads. I am also responsible for new employee setup validation, manage the Ellipse-Payroll interface text file and analyse complex excel sheets for statistical purposes.

From 2007 – 2008, I worked with City Personnel Services Limited in the heart of the nations capital Accra. I worked as an IT Manager, where my daily work schedule spans around overseeing the administration and maintenance of the company’s LAN and WAN infrastructure, to the planning and implementation of all IT policies, additions and deletions of major modifications to the existing network infrastructure. I built the company’s web portal website (www.myjobsatcps.com) and currently serves as the web master for the site.

Interest and Passion

I have a strong passion for Technology, Leadership, Management and Entrepreneurship. My desire is to see a more purposeful and a more influential role of technology in today’s business locale.

I share the view that the future is about “INNOVATION: the generation and implementation of new ideas.” I seek to use my God-given talents in the service of others through the expression and articulation of my ideas, volunteer activities and speaking engagements and my overriding commitment for an impartial and equal society where all can excel through hard work and dedication to duty.

I also adore exploring emerging technologies. I love teaching, reading, and watching movies and soccer.
